Q: How come Kewpie Baby Food has a long shelf life if it doesn’t contain any preservatives?

A: It’s because our products are sterilized by pressure and heat, after containers are filled and sealed.

Q: Do I need to heat up the food before serving?

A: You may or may not heat up the food as Kewpie Baby food can be eaten directly as it is. However, heating up may make the food more flavorful and delicious.

Q: Is it okay for my baby to eat two servings instead of one due to the sodium intake?

A: Yes. The amount of sodium used in baby food for babies up to 12 months must be less than 200mg/100g per serving, according to the Independent Baby Food Standards of Japan Baby Food Conference. All of our baby foods comply with this standard and even if your baby eat two servings, the amount of sodium is less than the amount which baby can intake per day.
